OUR MISSION
The Los Feliz Square Neighborhood Association and its diverse member population works to create bonds with neighboring communities, inform ourselves of important neighborhood issues and events, and promote participation in city governance to improve our quality of life.
HOW WE STARTED
In 2008, a group of dedicated neighbors founded Los Feliz Square Neighborhood Association to recognize the unique qualities of our neighborhood. We want to protect its charm and history while acknowledging the inevitabilities of life in one of the most exciting cities in the world. Members of Los Feliz Square are committed to working together with other area associations and our City’s politicians to find solutions to the challenges that face us.
Los Feliz Square is a unique and diverse neighborhood within the Greater Griffith Park area of Los Angeles. Adjacent to Griffith Park and the business districts of Los Feliz Village and Hollywood Boulevard, Los Feliz Square is both exciting and challenging. The areas surrounding our neighborhood are experiencing incredible growth and development. Though this new development brings new conveniences and social opportunities it also brings the difficulties of added traffic, crime and parking issues. Griffith Park is a much sought after destination spot for Angelinos and tourists; it is also an urban wilderness which brings the challenges of dealing with wildlife into the residential areas. And our neighborhood has a unique mix of longtime residents and new arrivals to Los Angeles each with their differing needs to feel welcome and secure in our neighborhood.
In 2009, the Los Feliz Square Neighborhood Association was approved by the IRS as a non-profit organization. We welcome you to go to the Become a Member page and join us as a Leadership member or simply sign up as a neighbor so we can share Los Feliz Square information with you, our neighbor.
