Los Angeles writer and photographer Sharpsteen will take his audience on a journey to the Port of Los Angeles
and into the inner lives of the people who have helped make it one of the nation's most vital economic enterprises.
Sharpsteen's book, THE DOCKS (UC Press), puts a human face on labor, conservation and national security.
